Meet the Clevelands!

As we sadly prepare to live for home, we would like to give a Huge THANK YOU to the Clevelands: Trey, Kim, Carson and Graham.  We have really enjoyed coming to visit them in Perth, Australia.  As exciting as visiting them has been, it reminds us how much we miss having them in Texas.

Those Fabulous Kangardoos!!!!

Despite what we thought, Kangaroos are not hoping around just everywhere.  We did find a large group of them at the Pinneroo Memorial Park.  Well, Pinneroo is actually a cemetary, and park area at the same time.  We even saw joggers!

And we  even saw an Mom and her Joey!

The Amazing Birds!

On Monday evening we took a quick ride to Joondalup and visited Neal Hawkins Park.  He Parrots and other birds here are amazing and will eat righ out of your hand!

Rottnest Island

Rottnest Island is located a short ferry ride from Perth.  Rottnest gets it's name for the indigenous "Quokkas" that live here. The island is a very popular place for Day trips or even staying for a few days.  The Snokeling here is unbeleivable.
Quokka

Just getting there is half the fun!

The beaches and scenery is just amazing.

Surfing Lessons!

Today the entire family took Surfing Lessons on Trigg Beach.  Surfing is HARD!!!!!  Everyone worked really hard and we all were able to ride a wave or two.

Trip to the Lancelin Sand Dunes

Any good road trip has to start with coffee.  Georges is the local hangout!  The large "Double White" makes the day start in grand style!

Lancelin is small surf town much like Rockport or Port Aranasas in Texas. By surfing, you can surf the Sand or the waves here.  We chose the waves!

Unfortunately, Blair tried some Cashews and we found out she has an allergy to them.  We were fortunate to be near a Rural Emergency Clinic and the on-call nurse Helen was absolutely fabulous!  She was able to get Blair back on here feet promply and we were on the beach later that day!
